New NW Public Works Delegate calls Collaboration to accelerate Road works in the Region.

Nfor Cyprain Ngenge made the appeal shortly after the technical handing over that saw the heavy presence of the Regional Heads, Economic Operators, and the general public . The out gone Delegate Paul Ngwaimbi was honoured with traditional regalia and a stool in appreciation for the legacy he leaves in the region. Ndu council wins FCFA 40m in MINHDU's Cleanest City Contest

Ndu council of Donga Mantung Division- Northwest Region is on record as the first Anglophone council to have won the annual clean city contest of the Ministry of Housing and Urban Development. ( MINHDU) The mayor Elh Burno Kanfon, who received a cheque of 40 million yesterday in Bafoussam for taking the 7th position in the race, visit to the Northwest Governor, Northwest Regional Assembly and the Public Independent Consiliator (PIC) to present and celebrate victory on Tuesday July 8. Governor Lele L'Afrique and the PIC boss Tamfu Simon Fai, who received the mayor and a cream of his deputies and councilors in their various offices, hailed the mayor assiduity and commitment to the development of his municipality. Emerging on 7th position in spite of security challenges, a mark of resilience, and poised to move the council to higher height. " Congratulations, Mr Mayor." Senator Enow Ema Lafon Donates Farm inputs to Nkor Farmers

Some seventeen registered farmers groups will in the days ahead revieve a consignment of farm inputs donated by the Senator for Bui Division ,ENOW Ema lafon. The mayor of Nkor Council Nchanji Germanous who recieved the package made up of watering cans ,sprayers ,hoe's etc, expressed gratitude to the Senator , while promising judicious use of the material. In an exclusive chat with The Vanguard Newspaper,the Mayor expressed optimism that the farmer inputs was going to boost farm yields and step up the standards of living of the populationof his municipality. Within the  ambit of Youths Employability, a component of the Ring  Road  project aimed at empowering over 2500frs with international labour norms amongst other issues related job creation and  participation in the ongoing National Road No 11 ( Ring Road), International labour organisation organisation ( ILO) organised a two days workshop and  the Regional Delegation of Scientific Research  Bamenda Northwest Region on Thursday  18 to Friday 19 July 2025  to abreast  CRCs,SMES,BETS, and workers union  on the importance of approach. Participants were edified  on policy framework and institutional setup of HIMO substantiated with ILO decades of experience.  Besides HIMO and it applicability on the RING ROAD project in particular,participants were drilled on  EIIP approach  Decent work ,technical aspects of EIIP implementation, project planning, execution, and challenges therein  and solutions in EIIP implementation. Senator  Ngafesson Emmanuel Bantar   As a mark of patriotism and giving  back to the community what the community had given him,  Hon. Senator Ngafeeson Emmanuel  Bantar,  recently donated a consignment of exercise  books, schools bags, pens pencils  and other didactic materials  to over sixty two pupils and students  from diverse schools  of Talla Village of Ndu Sub Division in Donga Mantung Division.  His material aid is a stitch on time to most families   faced with the challenge of school resumption.  It is worth noting that acquisition of school needs for children has  become an uphill task  for most parents in the   Northwest and Southwest  regions , given  Anglophone political brouhaha that has stagnated economic activities of the two regions for nine years running.      Parents who hitherto,   depended exclusively on subsistence farming as a source of livelihood have virtually become baggers’ and paupers in most villages and towns of the restive regions.   The month of Septe...
