ANGLOPHONE CRISIS: Government Intensifies Manhunt for Anglophone Activists After Soldiers Killed in Nkambe and Muyuka*

One amongst the three soldiers killed in Muyuka Subdivision SW R. on the 17th of May Uniform man Killed in Bongom village Donga Mantung Division NWR on 14 May. The killing of four soldiers in separate ambushes by Ambazonian fighters during protests against the May 20 celebrations in the Anglophone regions has drawn a sharp response from the Cameroonian government. One soldier was killed in Remi a quarter of  Bongom village in Nkambe Central, Donga Mantung Division, Northwest Region on the 14th May and three others  killed in Muyuka Subdivision, Southwest Region on the 17th May. Amba fighters killed 70 years old man for killing own sister own sister

On Wednesday night April 21, 2026 in Wat village Nkambe center subdivision in Donga Mantung Division of the North West Region, a man in his 70s is alleged to have stabbed Nkeh, his junior stepsister to death in a dispute over properties their late father left. He is said to have secretly broke into her sister's house the night breaking Thursday and carried out the heinous act. Because he has been giving death threats to the sister, the family and villagers saw him as the prime suspect. He was held spellbound and he confessed to have been behind the macabre act, revealing that the knife he used in killing the sister was thrown into a pit toilet in their compound. The demise of the temporal bridge mounted by BUNS to ease movement of pedestrian as they work on the mile 2 giant bridge has been blamed on Security challenges and Negligence.
