Kung village plagued by Chieftaincy Crisis?
The community of Kung, in Menchum Division, Fungom Subdivision, is plagued by traditional leadership crisis, following the dethronement of incumbent Fon_Kum_Gilbert given his long stay abroad. He is said to have been replaced by Fon Tem II. Report from the said community hold that their customary law and tradition requires a reigning fon to be physically present on the throne of the fondom to perform essential cultural, spiritual, and rituals rites. This is said to have beent main bone of contention that led to the replacement of the incumbent. To appeace their ancestors who according to a source ,the villagers were obliged to dethrone Fon Kum Gilbert who is said to have been in UK for more than 20 years without coming home to perform the required traditional rites .
