Nsongwa Village Pledges support to Atanga Nji Paul, Biya Over Development Projects
The people of Nsongwa Village of Mezam Division - Northwest region have pledged their unwavering support to Minister of Territorial Administration Atanga Nji Paul and President Paul Biya, citing recent development projects and humanitarian aid as the reason for the fraternity.
They poised to work in unison with the Minister Atanga Nji Paul and by extension, President Paul Biya was heralded by the Fon of Nsongwa Village, HRM Fon Fonguh Emmanuel Nji Fongwade III, during a ceremony organised at the esplanade of the palace on Sunday April 26 to hand over relief items to victims of the Anglophone crisis while also celebrating the opening of their road which was hitherto in appalled state.
The population via their attested that their decision was driven by two major interventions, the grading of the 12-kilometre road leading to Nsongwa and the donation of rice, mattresses, and blankaffected households. This is a testament to the Minister's commitment to their social welfare and economic development of their village. On this premise , it is incumbent us to hail and rally behind the Minister, guarantor of their village development. The fon said.
Bamenda City Mayor, Paul Achobong, who led the delegation from the Ministry of Territorial Administration to deliver the material aid , attested that their hand of fellowship to the village was to reciprocate their humility.

The consignment was shared among the villages of Chumba, Mbatu, and Nsongwa.
Achobong said the donation was meant to reciprocate the hospitality shown by residents, who provided meals to workers of the company contracted to rehabilitate their roads. He further expressed optimism that the road would be tarred. " When you make friends with good people, you will always have good things in return. One good tend deserves another. " He added.
Before the road worked, accessing Nsongwa was extremely difficult in both the dry and rainy seasons. Residents say the graded road has now cut travel time and eased transport of goods and services.
Whilec thanking the government for what he called “tangible action” that directly impacts daily life, adding that the village would continue to support national institutions,he intimated that " our time to reap the harvest is now".

While also hailing the city mayor for his development driven vision , he made a retrospective look on the brouhaha and diatribe against the city mayor over the expansion of the by the city road thought to be a "white elephant" project. Those detractors are speechless and overwhelmed by what is going on in Bamenda town now.
