Nsongwa Village Pledges support to Atanga Nji Paul, Biya Over Development Projects




Minister Atanga Nji Paul, restores smiles on the faces of the population. 

The people of Nsongwa Village of Mezam Division - Northwest region  have pledged their unwavering support to Minister of Territorial Administration Atanga Nji Paul and by extension President Paul Biya, citing  recent development projects and humanitarian relief as a palpable reason for the fraternity. The consignment of relief aid was shared amongst the villages of Chumba ,Mbatu and Songwa villages

Their resolved to  corroborate and  collaborate with Territorial Administration Minister, Atanga Nji Paul and , President Paul Biya was heralded by  HRM Fon Fonguh Emmanuel Nji Fongwade II  of  Nsongwa Village during a ceremony  organised  by MINAT at the esplanade of his palace on Sunday April 19 to officialy hand over relief items to population ,victims of the Anglophone crisis, is at a backdrop of the  development projects extended to the village by the State.

 The population via their fon , attested  that their  decision was driven by two major interventions, the grading of the 12-kilometre road leading to Nsongwa and the donation of rice, mattresses, and blankets to affected households. This is  testament of  the Minister's commitment to the social welfare and economic development of their village. The fon affirmed. 
To ensure continuity,   it is incumbent  the village to reciprocate the benevolence  by rallying   behind the Minister, guarantor of their village development.  The fon said.

Bamenda City Mayor, Paul Achobong, who led the delegation from the Ministry of Territorial Administration to deliver the  material aid , attested that their  hand of fellowship to the village was to reciprocate their humility.

Achobong said the donation was in appreciation of the  hospitality  of  residents, who  provided food to workers of the company contracted to work  on their roads. He further expressed optimism that the road would be tarred in the months if all goeswell.  "When you make friends with good people, you will  always have good  things in return.  One good tend deserves another. " He added.


More than 200 Bags of  rice loaded in two trucks 

Before the road worked, accessing Nsongwa was extremely difficult in both the dry and rainy seasons. Residents say the graded road has now cut travel time and eased transport of goods and services.

Whilec thanking the government for what he called “tangible action” that directly impacts daily life, adding that the village would continue to support national institutions,he intimated that " our time to reap the harvest is now".

 While also hailing the city mayor for his development driven  vision , he made a retrospective look on the  brouhaha  and diatribe against the city mayor over  the expansion of the by the city road thought to be a "white elephant" project. Those detractors are speechless and overwhelmed by what is going on in  Bamenda town now. "E
veryone is smiling today  as the work on the Urban crossing road is gradually shaping the town ".
He hailed the mayor for his  forethought and the courageous move toward transformation of Bamenda town..
