NW MINHD Delegate warns contractors against poor execution of Contracts



The newly appointed Regional Delegate for Housing and Urband Development, John Paul Njosi  warns Contractors  executing  MINHDU projects in the region   against lopsided work. 


Reacting complains raised by some stakeholders during a coordination ,he urged  the Divisional  Delegates and  Regional service heads to take responsibility and total  control over MINHDU projects in the region ensure  quality  work and respect of time line  execution of MINHDU projects in the region . He assured them of his unwavering support for quest of quality work and services to the state.
 In very strong terms, he cautioned contractors against poorly executed contracts.  They  will  not be recieved and the  culprits  would  be sanctioned.  He said.
The call for  deligence an descent work was heralded during  the Regional coordination meeting of MINHDU delegates and service heads.The meeting held  at the conference hall of Northwest Regional Delegation of Basic  Education recently. 


Labogenie chief of mission in charge of  geotechnics for C2D projects,Madam Ndi Nancy  who was in attendance  expressed worries about concrete mixture and other technical reports of work done by some contractors executing C2D MINHDU projects in the region.  This impedes effective control of the quality of work done. In tjid regard, she exhorted conteactors to keep clinical records of their technical works for scrutiny by Labogenie and other technical control services. 
Reacting to her worries, the Regional Delegate warned against poor execution of C2D projects in the region. 

 He instructed  divisional Delegates to vigorously control all MINHDU projects and "must be part of the control team" to ensure quality work.
It was resolved during the meeting  that contractors implementing C2D and MINHDU projects should respect technical specifications of projects and speed up physical execution to meet up with deadlines.


He exhorted Divisional Delegates to identify and submit one priority project per council area within their respective divisions for onward transmission to the hierarchy. 
They  resolved to convene a strategic meeting with MINHDU  projects contractors of Menchum, Momo and Misaje Subdivision in Donga Mantung Division to identify and  resolve issues plaguing execution of projects in those areas.


Other issues discussed during the meeting included,the need for Divisional Delegates to collaborate with municipal authorities to develop and submit waste management transformation projects proposal to the hierarchy. 
On issues of land use, it was resolved during the meeting that a committee be constituted of the Regional Delegate, Divisional Delegate of momo ,the C2D Regional coordinator and Ngock Jacob to deliberate and proposed strategies to improve on land use for infrastructural development in the region. 
Given the indifference of some sector ministries on control of  MINHDU projects  in the region,  Divisional Delegates were exhorted to establish a convivial working conditions  other sector ministries  but  should wave those who not collaborative  and move ahead with technical  control  to ensure proper execution of the projects of their  Ministry in their various divisions. 
MINHDU personnel in the region seized the opportunity to express gratitude to the Minister for the FCFA 2.000.000 allocated for the clean city competition in the region. 
Participants resolved that a befitting structure be constructed for the Regional Delegation of the Ministry in the region. 
The regional delegate, his service heads and other C2D control mission team visited some ongoing projects in town and recommended quality work and respect if deadlines.
