Public Works Minister declares tarring of three major roads and more in Northwest Region

There was an  unimaginable applauds and euphoria at the conference hall of the  Regional Delegation of public works Northwest following the  MINTP Minister's  declaration that construction works on some majors roads of the  of  the region will soon see the light of day.
The Minister of Public Works, Minister Emmanuel Nganou Njoumessi was in the Northwest on Thursday March 19 to evaluate the level of work on the Urban Crossing road ahead of the visit of Pope Louis XIV to the region. 


He noted with satisfaction the  level of work so far done by  BUNS  Construction company ,but urged for acceleration of work to ensure usability or the road  before the  Papal's visit. 
Reacting holdups reportedly orchestrated by non payment of indemnities of some victims of the project,he disclosed that funds are  of availability for  payment  of those who have  not been compensated  for damages .  Buns company management was exhorted to fast track the payment to ease the right of way for speedy execution of the project.


What become so interesting of the Minister's visit to the region was the declaration of the construction of 80 kilometres of  Bamenda- Wum road:  31 kilometres of  Bamenda-Tudi Mbengwi road, 62 kilometres of  Bamenda- Bambui, Ndop Babessi stretch of the National Road number 11 the (Ring Road), construction of Misaje- Dumbu -Besola  Nigeria road and Babungo Oku,Noni misaje road.


The declaration saw a  thunderous appluads, an indication of total euphoria and satisfaction with  the services of the Ministry in the region. 
Northwest region has suddenly become a grand Chantier,  following the  pl
ethora of roads works ongoing in the region.  
Beside  the ongoing construction works on the   It should be noted Construction works on the National Road number 11 stretching from  Kumbo squares to Ndu,Nkambe and Misaje is well   advanced .  
Still within Bamenda town, the potholes stretching from "Welcome to Bamenda, old Finance junction and governor's to Ecole des Champions shall be  refubished.
 Bamenda town is currently witnessing construction of a sea of quarter roads to link up to the urban crossing.

  This leaves no one in doubts that Bamenda and "Northwest is changing.  
Our future is getting brighter . We will witnessed an economic boom in the months ahead.  The Minister of Public Works Emmanuel Nganou Njoumessi has proven his love for the northwest region.  He is an assiduous Minister conscious of our plight of the population of the region. " Says one Ngwa Peter  . 
We not be penny wise pound foolish  resisting  the construction of our roads, because of political differences.

  He said. Those trying to disturb the construction of our roads should stop the senseless resistance.  The road are  meant to improve on our living conditions. 
It will not make sense reresting what we have been clamouring for." He concluded. 



The Minister exhorted the population of the region to appropriate the projects to guarantee security and speedy execution of the projects meant to embellish and improve on the  economic and social wellbeing of the population of the region.  The projects he said  "are yours and you are expected to  collaborate with the state to ease the realisation of development  projects allocated to  the region.  He said.
