Hon.Verla Fostine MP for Jakiri special constituency who double as  WCPDM Bui IV section president is one of the few female members of parliament who has persistently shown concern for both militants of her party and the vulnerable population of her constituency  in the  region. Ever since she became a parliamentarian for Jakiri, her presence has been felt severally by the population, more especially the internally displaced population of her constituency.




To step up the strength of the party ahead of 2026 twin election, she on Saturday February 14, held a strategic meeting with the executive  of the party  in Bamenda to accertain the solidity of the party ahead of the elections. 
Also taking into consideration the importance of women's day to her party, her militants were treated to  women's day fabric, a gift participants  appreciated as it timely and indicative of concern for the section executive .
The essense of executive meeting  was to avoid feeding the fowl on the day it would be taken to the market.


It was in this regard that the focus of the meeting was more of   stock taking and accessing the strength and weakness of the party to be be able to right the wrongs of the party ahead of  the elections.
The visibly enthusiastic participants made papable contributions that would reinforce their outreach to new militants and  grip on Bui IV electorate in the 2026 elections. 





Dwelling on the current political brouhaha responsible for the social and economic meltdown of the region, participants brainstormed on a new ways  to mitigating the stalemate to allow  for a return to normalcy  before 2026 political exercise.
  

Hon. Verla Fostine appreciated the executive for braving the odds to attend the meeting. This she acknowledged was a sign of their unwavering commitment to the future of the party in Jakiri Subdivision.
Also in attendance was the CPDM Section President for Bui IV, Hon. Wirngo Buba Kibo, who doubles as the Mayor of Jakiri municipality ,lauded the women for their tiredless devotion to the activities of their party .
He said the party can only triumph in any political race  if they both speak with one voice and desist from unnecessary distraction and squabbles. "Not every noise deserves your attention, and not every drumbeat requires dancing". He said.
He reminded them that the electoral period is a delicate period in the life of a political party,reason why they all have to work in unison to guarantee the victory of the party in the entire constituency in 2026 elections. 

He further exhorted them to desist from international mayhem, which could  create  inroads  for their political opponents take advantage of it to displace them. "When two brothers fight,the stranger reaps the harvest". It should be recalled.
The MP and the Mayor both shared a consignment of both party and non party items to the executives  members of the party. 
The meeting ended in a very convivial atmosphere.
