Senator Enow Ema Lafon Donates Didactic material to Nkor Students

Over 1000 mixed text books comprising of  computer ink, 120 school bags pens, reams of papers are  some of the items donated by Senator Enow Ema lafon to the Students and pupils of Nkor council in Noni Sub Division Bui Division.

The   Mayor of Nkor Council, Nchanji Germanous  who received the  package in Yaounde  under the banner  of Bui Education Programme with the year’s  theme  captioned “Education improves   Hearts , Hands and Minds” ,         told The Vanguard that the gesture is aimed at boosting education in the municipality as “the only treasure a parent can give a

child is education”.  While thanking the Senator for the material assistance , the mayor recalled that Senator Ema Lafon has always been of great assistance to his municipality and many others in the sphere of education and the social welfare of the population of Noni Sub Division.   She is said to have donated computers to  schools of the municipality last year, an initiative which is indicative of the fact   that, “she is behind the Education of Noni Children.    Mayor  Nchanji expressed optimism that the material is  going to step up education  in his municipality, boost research by students, and spur others to go to school.

“There can never be  any effective leaning and teaching without text books”. He said. The text  books will be deposited in the Nkor Municipal library    to enable   students of all schools of the municipality to exploit them as the books are not enough to  be distributed to all the schools of the municipality He exhorted the school heads  and the Liberian to guide against wanton use of the books, as books will   serve  generations to come.  He insisted that textbooks remain an eternal source of research   for learners no matter the age.   He, however, lamented the devastating effect of school holdup  on the children of the municipality. In this regard , he warned that education is a fundamental right of every child, and it is a hideous crime refusing children from going to school.    Any child who doesn’t go to school has no future, he warned.  He reminded those refusing children from going to school that they acquired a certain degree of education to be able to communicate and socialize with others.   It is, therefore, inhuman to refuse children from going to school.  Children should be allowed to go to school, no matter the political stalemate.   He insisted.
