Mayo Banyo prepares for 2nd Edition of Gen. Houssiene Djibo Horse Race in Grand Style


Gen Houssiene Djibo revitalising Horse Race in Mayo Banyo his birth place.
This rich culture has for decades been in limbo in most Muslims communities.

The initiative to revamp and make the culture incoicible has been embraced by all and sundry in the northern regions and beyond.
The second edition of the race comes up tomorrow 20th April 2024 at Kaouzad Park in Mayo Mbayo .Be part of the historic event to tell the story.

The mayor of Banyo council ,Elh Garba Soule ,giving technical assistance to organisers to ensure success of the event . 

On ground was the regional president of the race Elh.Ahmadou Souaibou to ensure availability of all the logistics.




This year's  race  is spaced with a rainbow of traditional dances and Wrestling . 
This very  interesting  package  of  the race   comes up today as from 4pm.
If you miss it this year, make it a date with Banyo next year for yet  another very interesting  package of the  cultural heritage of the  people.

Mines and Technological Developments minister visit Tiko Mineral water company

The Minister of Mines, Industry and Technological Development, Professor FUH CALISTUS  GENTRY Thursday October 24, visited   PRISTINE SASU, mineral water production company.  Besides mineral water,the company also produce  soft drinks, and dairy drinks.      It is located in the Tiko subdivision in the Southwest Region. The company  reportedly have an annual production capacity of 500,000 hectolitres of beverages. While lauding the promoter of this structure for the initiative ,the Minister of mines  expressed  wish for the region to emerge as the new industrial hob  of the country and a preferred destination for new  investors.
